KV Admission 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

  • A Child must be 5 years old as on 31st March in the academic year in which admission is sought for Class I. (Child born on 1st April should also be considered.) The minimum and maximum age limit for admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas in various classes are given below: (Child born on 1st April should also be considered.)

VII 11 years 13 years

Note: The maximum age limit can be relaxed by two years in case of Differently abled children by the Principal.

Reservations in KVS admission 2021

SC & ST, OBC Category: 15% seats for Scheduled Caste, 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes, and 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) shall be reserved in all fresh admissions in all Kendriya Vidyalayas.

Differently-abled category: 3% seats of total available seats for fresh admission will be horizontally reserved for Differently Abled-children as per the provisions of RTE Act, 2009 read in conjunction with Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995.

How To Register For KVS Admission 2021?

  • Visit the official website – kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in
  • On the homepage of the portal, click on the “Register” tab.
  • For registration on portal click on the “New Registration” tab.
  • Now, proceed to read the important instructions.
  • Now, read all the general instructions carefully available in English and Hindi languages. After going through all the instructions mark the declaration and click on “Proceed” Tab.
  • Now, enter all the details in the space provided and click on the “Register” option.
  • Now, enter the OTP and verify it.
  • Finally, the registration process is complete. Keep the login Id safe for further login. Take the printout of the registration details by clicking on the “Print” tab.

How to Fill a KVS Admission Online Form 2021?

  • Visit the official website – kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in
  • Click on “Login Tab”
  • Fill the basic details and click on the “Next” tab.
  • Now Fill Parents Detail and click the “Next” tab.
  • Fill choice of Schools. Choice can be filled only for Three KVs. After filling details click on the “Next” button.
  • Upload the required documents.
  • After uploading documents click on the Preview button. Cross-check all the details and submit the application form.
  • Verify OTP
  • The application will be submitted successfully. Click on the “Print” tab and take a printout of the application for future references.

Applicants can also check application status by clicking on “Application Status”. Follow below step-
