Eligibility conditions:

who apply for Central Sector Scholarship?

Eligibility conditions:

  • Students who are above the 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant
    stream from a particular Board of Examination in Class 12
  • Pursuing a regular course
  • Having a family income of less than Rs.8 lakh per annum
  • Not receiving any other scholarship

Benefits:

The rate of scholarship is Rs. 10000/- per annum at Graduation level for the first three years of College and University courses and Rs. 20000/- per annum at the Post-Graduation level. Students pursuing professional courses are paid Rs. 20,000/- per annum in the 4th and 5th year.

National Scholarship Portal Registration:

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through following steps –

  • Visit the homepage of the National Scholarship Portal and click on ‘New Registration‘.
  • Read the guidelines carefully, select the undertaking and ‘Continue‘.
  • Fill All Details.
  • Click on the ‘Register’ button.
  • The mobile number will be verified and an OTP will be generated.
  • Now, log in using OTP and fill the form.
  • An application ID and password will be generated. Use that for future references.

Guidelines for Registration on National Scholarship Portal

Students applying for a scholarship for the first time need to “Register” on the portal as a fresh applicant by providing accurate and authenticated information as printed on their documents in “Student Registration Form.”

Before initiating the registration process, students are advised to keep their Educational and other documents such as Aadhar number, Enrollment number, Bank passbook, etc. in hand.

Students are advised to provide “Annual Family Income” as per the Income Certificate issued by a competent authority in their scholarship application.

Scholarship Category

Scholarship schemes are divide into four major categories. Students need to select the relevant category based on their class/course in which they are studying. Check Below –

Pre – Matric Scholarship Scheme – This scholarship scheme is for students studying from Class 1st to Class 10th.

Post – Matric Scholarship Scheme – This scholarship scheme is for students studying from Class 11th, 12th and above which includes Courses like ITI, B.SC, B. Com., B. Tech, Medical, etc.

Top Class Scholarship Scheme – This scholarship scheme is for students studying in Top Level colleges across India such as IITs and IIMs.

Merit cum Means (MCM) Scholarship Scheme – This scholarship scheme is for students doing Technical and Professional courses at graduation and post-graduation level.
